OfflineBoy, it is hard to drag up some of the old stuff we used to know by rote, eh?
To get SS started you ask Francis Dullarse, the Gray Sails Tavernkeeper, about the new shipwright in town. Remember, you have to do a quest first to prove you're worthy of Duke's attention. :)
If you've got the old Installer still on your computer, the "Quickstart" file tells you what to do to get each mod started.

Offlineyeh i know i'm to ask that numb nut but when i do he doesn't say anything about a shipwright?thats my problem.what triggers him to do that?I've taken out black beard/ropeflake/been to ellaybe several times/shark island/graysails stat is hero rank 2 and still he says nothing?

OfflineOK, assuming you've installed the mod (and started a new game after installing it)...
When you talk to Dullarse, the following should come up on the first time you talk with him:
Chose #2 (Valiant effort), and the next part should come up:
There may be a boatload of other choices for Nick right there, depending on what mods you've installed and where you're at in the game (it's a busy part of his dialogue). But the "new shipwright" line should get you up & running.
Let me know if there's still a problem and I can walk you through many ways to fix it & get it to come up.
When you talk to Dullarse, the following should come up on the first time you talk with him:
Dullarse: "Ah, good day to ye, young master! Now let me see: it's Alonzo, ain't it? No? Beauregard, then. Richard? Blast me, the old headpiece ain't as sharp as it used to be, I can tell ye that. I think maybe I took one too many cannonballs in the brains in me old buccaneering days... Now where was we? Ah, yes! Welcome to me tavern, Regis me boy!"
Nick #1: "Good day to you too, Francis. But I'm Nicholas. I'm sure Regis, Alonzo, Richard and Beauregard will be along any moment now. So what's the news?"
Nick #2: "Valiant effort, Francis, but I'm Nicholas: Nick Sharp. Try to concentrate: we have important things to discuss. Do you hear me?>
Nick #3: "After five minutes with you, I NEED a strong drink. Goodbye."Chose #2 (Valiant effort), and the next part should come up:
Dullarse: "Important things, eh? Well, I'm all ears. Say on, me hearty Captain."
